Al & Debbie Riha, high school sweethearts, married in November 1967. With three small children Al and Debbie took a leap of faith and started their own business to provide for their growing family - Southern Copper was incorporated in December of 1987. Starting small in the family laundry room, the need for space became quickly apparent. Southern Copper bought a permanent location in 1990. What started as a family owned and operated business turned into a small business completed with outside salesman and warehouse staff. Southern Copper is still family owned and operated, and remains in the same physical location that was purchased in 1990.
